Brand new to Yoga?
We have two points of entry if you are brand new to yoga:
Beginner classes (Level 1): For those brand new to yoga or Iyengar yoga who want to start at the start and work in a structured steady way towards the full range of foundational poses. These classes are also suitable for existing students who wish to revisit the foundational poses. All students attending Beginner classes may come with a special ”Beginner 5 Class Pass”. This is cheaper than regular class passes, and can be used for Beginner classes only. There is no limit on the number of times a student may purchase this pass. Holders of a Beginner 5 Class Pass may bring a friend to class for free (conditions apply). Read more and purchase a Beginner 5 Class pass here.
Beginner classes currently run on:
>> Tuesdays 7.30-8.30pm
Foundation/General (Level 1/2) classes: These mixed classes are open to complete beginners as well as those with some experience. Here you will learn foundational poses with excellent guidance. Those ready for more will be extended. Everyone practices at their own pace … so newcomers will feel both supported and inspired.
These classes currently run on:
>> Tuesdays 10.00-11.15am
>> Wednesdays 12.30-1.30pm
>> Fridays 10-11.15am (slow and gentle)
>> Saturdays 9.45-11.00am
Coming to Class
Please fill out our Health Status Form here. You need to do this before participating in your first class. If you are not comfortable putting your health details onto our online system please fill in the paper based form that is available in the studio when you attend your first class.
Please book and pay online at least 30 minutes before the advertised class start time. Last minute booking is possible but some classes are quite full so you may not get a place. All bookings must be paid for online. We do not take payment in the studio.
Doors open 15 minutes before advertised class start time. Please do not arrive earlier than this as teachers need the space and time before the class starts to complete their own practice.
We provide mats and all props, but you can bring your own mat if you prefer.
Come dressed in a loose fitting tee shirt and stretchy shorts or tights. Leave your shoes outside the studio door.
We care about your safety
We have a spacious warehouse studio with good ventilation and high 3m ceilings. Class sizes are limited to ensure plenty of space per student.
If you would like additional safeguards, such as further space between yourself and others during class, or preferring not to be adjusted during class, please let your teacher know.
If it doesn’t suit you to attend the studio you can choose the online option for some classes. Check out our online class timetable here.
Please do not come to class if you are feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms.
We provide yoga mats for you, but you are welcome to bring your own if you have one.
Cleaning products and swipes are provided for students to the clean studio mats and wooden props after each class.
Hand sanitiser is available in the studio.
